Refund Policy

Last updated: 14 August 2026

Paid Slippie subscriptions are sold by Slippie Software (Pty) Ltd (2026/639089/07). We collect payment, issue invoices, and process withdrawals and refunds.

This page explains how refunds work for Slippie and forms part of our Terms of Service. If local consumer-protection law or this page gives you additional or non-waivable rights, the highest level of rights always applies. Nothing here limits your mandatory consumer rights.

1. Global refund policy

Unless required by applicable law:

  • Transactions are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
  • We may issue a refund on a discretionary basis (section 6) or if you exercise a statutory withdrawal or refund right (section 2).
  • Refunds will not be issued where there is evidence of fraud, refund abuse, or other manipulative behaviour.
  • This policy does not affect consumer rights if Slippie is not as described, faulty, or not fit for purpose (section 4).
  • Refund requests must be made within the applicable statutory or discretionary period described below.
  • If you receive a refund, access to Slippie will cease.

2. Country-specific statutory rights

Where local consumer-protection laws grant unconditional withdrawal rights, those rights apply and override this page and any supplier policy. We apply the highest standard of protection in the relevant country.

2.1 European Union / EEA / Switzerland / United Kingdom

Consumers have a 14-day statutory right to withdraw from some digital-content and service contracts and receive a full refund. That right applies to the first payment under a subscription. It does not apply to later subscription payments, except as described below. If a subscription includes a free trial, you have 14 calendar days to withdraw from the day the trial ends. If you completed a transaction in the United Kingdom and have an annual subscription, you have a new 14-calendar-day withdrawal period starting the day the subscription auto-renews for another year. The right to withdraw does not apply to digital content that has started to be downloaded, streamed, or otherwise used when you have given express consent to waive your withdrawal rights. To exercise this right, request a refund within 14 days of the transaction (section 3).

2.2 Turkey / Israel

Consumers have a 14-day statutory right to withdraw from some digital-content and service contracts and receive a full refund. Request a refund within 14 days of the transaction (section 3).

2.3 South Korea / Brazil / China

Consumers have a 7-day unconditional right to cancel digital-content or service contracts after delivery and receive a full refund. Request a refund within 7 days of the transaction (section 3).

2.4 Canada

Consumers have a 7-day unconditional right to cancel digital-content or service contracts after delivery and receive a full refund. Request a refund within 7 days of the transaction (section 3).

2.5 Singapore

Consumers have a 5-day unconditional right to cancel digital content or services after delivery or first access and receive a full refund. Request a refund within 5 days of the transaction (section 3).

3. How to withdraw and request a refund

To withdraw, cancel, and/or request a refund, contact us using one of these methods:

  • email dewald@slippie.co.za with your firm name and the transaction date; or
  • submit a request from the billing page in your Slippie account, if that page is available to you.

If eligible, refunds are processed using the same payment method where possible and within 14 days of approval. Our transaction records are used to verify eligibility and timing, but they do not override your statutory rights. If you are not sure of the transaction details or whether you are eligible, contact dewald@slippie.co.za.

If a transaction is not eligible for a refund, you may still cancel the subscription at any time so you are not billed again. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

4. Technical or product defects

If you have persistent technical issues or a material defect that prevents you from using Slippie as described:

  • contact us first at dewald@slippie.co.za so we can try to fix it or support a refund;
  • if it cannot be resolved, reply to that email with details of the issue and any support already provided;
  • where there is evidence of a material technical or product defect, we will issue a refund in accordance with applicable consumer-protection laws.

5. Renewals, upgrades, and add-ons

Refund eligibility for add-ons and one-time transactions follows the same criteria as the main transaction, unless local law provides otherwise. Items delivered and fully accessible immediately may be non-refundable once delivered, except where required by law. Automatic renewals follow section 2 (including the UK annual-renewal withdrawal window) and our discretionary review in section 6. If you upgrade mid-cycle, the amount due (including any proration) follows this policy from the date of that charge.

6. Discretionary refunds

We may, at our sole discretion, issue a refund if a request is submitted within 14 days of your transaction date. Submitting a request within that period does not guarantee a refund. Requests are reviewed case by case. We may approve a full refund, a partial refund, or decline the request. A discretionary refund is voluntary and does not create an obligation to refund similar requests later.

7. Chargebacks and payment disputes

Contact us at dewald@slippie.co.za before raising a chargeback or disputing the payment with your bank or card issuer. If you start a chargeback or payment reversal, access to Slippie may be temporarily suspended while the matter is reviewed. We will provide the payment provider with payment details and, where relevant, your consent to waive statutory rights. This does not affect your lawful rights to dispute a charge under card-scheme or consumer-protection rules.

8. Pilot bookings

Requesting a pilot on this website is free. There is nothing to refund unless you later complete a paid subscription.

9. Updates

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your transaction governs that transaction. We recommend saving or printing a copy for your records.
